I was just browsing sourceforge.net?tonight. (Because I intend to -maybe if I have the time- launch an opensource project soon.)

Check these two sourceforge projects :

• jEdit is a programmer's text editor written in Java?: http://www.jedit.org/. It supports a lot of languages and has plug-ins for code completion, wizzards... Check it your self, the list is too long.
  
• phpGroupWare is a multi-user web-based groupware suite written in PHP. It also provides an API for developing additional applications.??- http://www.phpgroupware.org. It's a kind of Office written in PHP. The demo is cool, try it? here.

For Java projects, there is also NetBeans : http://www.netbeans.org/
