I have worked as developer, pre-sales, business developer, solution architect and client principal. I now work as Software IT Architect at IBM.
My ideal job would look like this:
- Management of a team/business unit of 3-10 people
- Responsible for defining solution sales and execution strategy (go to market) of this business unit in collaboration with sales, marketing, HR
- Responsible for the financial performance (revenue and margin) of the business unit
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of corporate organization, culture, policies, products, markets and processes :
- project/program planning
- assessment and management
- sales
- financial/forecasting methods
- skills inventory tools and capability planning
- corporate standards of excellence in customer service
- performance appraisal techniques
- demonstrate state-of-the-art technical, functional and business knowledge
