Hello here
February 2009I had to re-upload the mp3s of "La légende dorée de St Georges". They had disappeared. I had the pleasure to see they now have nice widgets like this one :
Last week I attended a very interesting BPM seminar provided by Denali, a Belgian BPM software company. For me it's clear there are interesting possible synergies between the processes that Denali can model and document with FlexoBPM and the processes IBM can run and monitor with Webshpere Process Server. It's also interesting to see that both Denali and IBM will be at Gartner's Business Process Management Summit , on Feb 23-25, 2009. The postings on this site are my own and don't necessarily represent IBM's positions, strategies or opinions En fait, Google Desktop est un excellent espion. A chaque fois qu'on cherche sur son ordi quelquechose et qu'on clique "Search More" sans faire exprès, on dit à Google ce qui nous intéresse. Ca pourrait tres bien être des keywords "company confidential" January 2009Everyday, I read the web just like I would read the newspaper. I aggregate news feeds in Netvibes. Now what if you would prefer to read the news off-line or to print it ? You can use some services which transform the news feeds into a PDF file.I have tested two of them : Tabbloid and FeedJournal, on my own feed. On the right you have Tabbloid, on the left FeedJournal. For a deeper look, you can download the PDF files here :
Small problem : the services are not very reliable. You don't always get your email... What we see today is a lot of Relaunch Plans. Everybody thinks : "We need a relaunch plan for the economy". But I think : "Why do we want to relaunch something that is going straight into the wall ?" "Isn't it a good time to change direction ?" So, let's relaunch the competitive machine until we crash in the same wall again. Or should I say until we blow the next bubble. In 2009, IBM's innovation will focus on a Smarter Planet. The world needs to be smarter. There are challenges : food, energy, carbon footprints, climate, economy... Some solutions will come from innovation and IT :
See here IBM : A Smarter Planet . The postings on this site are my own and don't necessarily represent IBM's positions, strategies or opinions One day I decided to quit... But God said : 'Look around : Do you see the fern and the bamboo?' Read the story. He is playing violin in the street. Nobody is listening to him. Who is he ? Read a nice story here : The street musician. Voila encore un espace pour jouer...Un Miniblogue This week, I followed a Twitt Post that made me dicover Issuu. I'm impressed. It's the Web2.0 version of a FSI like application (cfr Playmobil on the Web with FSI). Eventually some Landscape Layout that fit my screen. This really allows to read magazines on a PC. If you want an example, have a look here : http://issuu.com/truflava06/docs/feb_2009_issue I'll try miniblogue just for the fun (http://jfdeclercq.miniblogue.fr/) It will appearFor the moment the content will only appear on Netvibes (http://www.netvibes.com/jfdeclercq#My_Content) I'm thinking about a review of the way I create content because with Blogger, Twitter, Delicious it becomes a mess... In twitter I have followers who follow thousands of people. See for example http://twitter.com/chrisblake. I wonder how it's possible to do that. Why do they do that ? Maybe you have already seen my picture on SOA and the Value Chain. Here is an excellent IBM article that explains it all... http://www.research.ibm.com/journal/sj/444/cherbakov.html Je suis en train de ré-écouter une émission de Europe1 intitulée: "Internet et la culture : le meilleur ou le pire" On y parle de Blogs mais également de ePaper et de eBooks. Don't tell my manager Dieter that today I stopped working for an hour to go sledding... As usual, to send you my Best Wishes for the coming year, I send you my best shots of the year before. Here are my best shots of 2008.
HAPPY 2009 !!! December 2008Today we went to Aqualibi so we could walk in swimsuit all day even if it's freezing outside !
Recently I had a problem on my home computers. We couldn't connect to www.google.com anymore. A ping didn't work, a nslookup didn't work, a tracert didn't work. All other sites were ok. I searched the Internet (using google.be ;-)) and many people had the same problem. It seems to be a strange DNS problem. For those people, here is a temporary solution. Edit your Windows Hosts file (in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) and add this line at the end: 216.239.59.147 www.google.com This way you tell your computer directly where to find Google.com. Note this solution will no longer work if Google.com changes its IP Address. After that I could again read my gmail, my Google Calendar, my Google Notebook and Blogger. Strange problem... I would like to know the real issue behind it. Today we did some mountain bike in Kasterlee/Herentals on the Montain Bike Routes of the Bloso. I could not blog for several days because I couldn't connect to www.google.com due to very stange dns problems. Whatever, I would like to wish you the best for this end of the year. I hope your holydays are filled with happiness and good cheer ! Very soon I will send you my Best Wishes with my Best Shots 2008. I have seen that guy (Roxorloops) at Devoxx. What he does is amazing ! Older : Druivenveldrit 2008
