.NET is coming !!!

I don't know if you can feel it as I can feel it but during my numerous meetings at work, I have had a lot of very positive remarks about the coming Microsoft .NET.



Some people tell me that's it's really very nice and different from what Microsoft did in the past (it would really be based on and support standards ...)



You will find here (WEBSERVICE COMPARE) a "study" comparing websphere and Visual .Net for building a webservice. I don't know if it's really fair. Give me your feeling!


After reading this Presentation of .NET in PDF, you will probably think ".NET and C# ressemble too much like Java".

Yes you have a JIT, a class library, a support for XML and the CLR - Cmmon Language Runtine - is like a JVM...
